Over the years, we have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, and the friendships that we have built with our patients and their families are one in a million. Our focus is to make each patient feel at home when they come in for treatment and we work hard to give our patients the attention they deserve.

Married partners in life and dentistry, Dr. Smith and Dr. Vila have three children: Benjamin, Daniel, and Sophia. They understand your busy schedules and the value you place on family time. The Smith-Vila family enjoys vacationing together traveling to new places and experiencing different cultures.
Theresa Smith, DDS
Dr. Theresa Smith is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up right here on the Main Line. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University, she went on to Georgetown Dental School and received her dental degree. She went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Einstein Medical Center where she gained more advanced training and valuable experiences in all the subspecialties of dentistry.
Dr. Smith is highly interested in continuing education in order to expand her professional knowledge. She has completed the core curriculum at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for advanced dental studies, and continues to learn all she can about the newest and latest techniques in the ever-changing field of dentistry. She is also considered one of the Top Dentists in Main Line Today magazine for multiple years in a row.
Dr. Smith has been practicing dentistry for more than 20 years and loves welcoming and meeting all new patients into the SV Dental family. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and Main Line Dental Society. Dr. Smith is a proud member of the Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) staff in West Chester. CVIM provides dentistry for those most in need in our community. In her free time Dr. Smith enjoys cooking, baking, running, reading, and traveling to new places.
Carlos Vila, DDS
Dr. Carlos Vila was born in Venezuela and has lived in the United States since the age of two. He is fluent in Spanish as well as English, and welcomes the community's spanish speaking patients. He received a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from Oral Roberts University. He then attended Georgetown Dental School and graduated among the top of his class. After completing his General Practice Residency at Tufts University Dental School, he settled in the Main Line area, and has lived and practiced here ever since.
Dr. Vila is an active member in the national and local dental community. His membership in the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Academy of Stomatology is evidence of his commitment to continuing education and to providing first-rate care for his patients. Respected by his colleagues, Dr. Vila is the 2005 past president of the Main Line Dental Society. He has also been one of the Top Dentists in Main Line Today magazine for multiple years.
In Dr. Vila's spare time he enjoys running, cycling, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends!
